“I was blessed to have visited Kevin and Sue Strauslin in Hilo, Hawaii at Magic Skies. The craftsmanship of the artwork, walls, walkway, water feature, and stonework. The huge, amazing rooms w/ a personal bathroom. Each floor has an awesome community kitchen. It has a wonderful farm atmosphere with animals, banana trees and waterfalls.  Just a short walk to the beach. I am scheduled to return with 9 others for a week. I can hardly wait.” August 2022

“I had the pleasure of staying with Sue and Kevin in the whale room, a top floor suite with a little lanai with the most amazing view and the most comfortable accommodations.  I had my own bathroom, and I had the whole top floor to myself with the living room. The kitchen was still under construction at the time. It was a beautiful layout, walking distance from one of the top surf spots on the big island and the volcano is a must. You should go on every tour that they have, if you have time.   Rent the car and drive the whole island! Take a couple of hikes, especially through the lava tube. You can find some amazing hot springs and see where the lava took over the land and expanded it greatly. You can go swimming and snorkeling with the turtles and some of the most amazing snorkeling in the world!  The hosts are the most beautiful and amazing people you’ll ever meet. This is a must and a life changing experience!  At least it was for me! thank you, aloha.”  August 2022

“It was clean, organized, high-value, and that’s just scratching the surface of how superlative this place is. I loved it here. It’s a work of art. The hosts are gracious, generous, and treated me like a friend. From the custom-made-stonework-tree-lined welcome to the koi pond bridge entrance, from the clean, soft beds with a myriad of pillows to the massive, fully-equipped kitchen, it was an exceedingly positive experience top to bottom. The Hawaiian sunrise and hot tub mornings led to chopping open coconuts before walking to the local Honoli’i beach. Great views and being on a farm enhanced my goal of reconnecting with nature while on vacation. The place is a reflection of the owners, Kevin & Sue, and is imbued with their artistry and hospitality. I was in the Surf’s Up room this time and I’m looking forward to another visit.”
